George Edgar Huyett Jr. 69, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday May 17, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care. He was born January 14, 1949 in St. Joseph, son of Elizabeth & George Huyett Sr. He graduated from Benton High School class of 1968. He was a member of Riverside Church and was active in leading ministries in area nursing facilities and prisons. George also enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball.

George was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by sons, George Huyett III and Andrew (Holly) Huyett, sister, Carol Anne Kelley, daughter, Valerie Heckman, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Mr. Huyett has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral home. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Riverside Church.
