Per good friend Kristi Grafton: "Marsha died August 27, 2002 from a brain tumor at the age of 51. She had married Dick Yarnell August 22, 1970. They had 3 sons, Tyson, Joshua, & Nathan and she had just welcomed and adored a new granddaughter before her death. In Marsha's memory, Dick set up the "Marsha's Angel's" scholarship fund, for young people wishing to follow in her footsteps to become loving and caring nurses."
